The brain is by far the most complex organ and processor that we know of. It is built from a vast array of uniquely interconnected cells, with diverse and varied signalling mechanisms.
I am interested in understanding how neuronal circuits and connections are arranged to allow information processing.
My research has focussed on:
Understanding the synaptic arrangement of neuronal circuits
Determining how the properties of synaptic connections process activity
Developing the methods necessary to move our research forward
