My Research

The brain is by far the most complex organ and processor that we know of. It is built from a vast array of uniquely interconnected cells, with diverse and varied signalling mechanisms.​

I am interested in understanding how neuronal circuits and connections are arranged to allow information processing.

​My research has focussed on:

• Understanding the synaptic arrangement of neuronal circuits

• Determining how the properties of synaptic connections process activity

• Developing the methods necessary to move our research forward
